“We hope that we will take care of this together, especially in September there will be a lot of big events,” he explained.

The Chief Expert of Tourism and Creative Economy Adyatama in the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Nia Niscaya, explained on Monday morning that her party received information from the Director General of Civil Aviation regarding the expectation of mpox made by the Ministry of Cheers.

“Procedures will be repeated at the airport, especially for direct flights. Then the eHAC application will be reintroduced as a way to anticipate the Mpox outbreak. Therefore, this means that in terms of destinations at (airport) doors, the Ministry of Health is alerted and will treat it as a COVID period,” he explained.

Cases of a new, more deadly strain of Mpox are known to have entered Thailand. This marks the first case of a Clade 1b entry in Asia.
