We recently informed you that the legendary duo Eva and Vašek are ending their joint musical career. And that’s not the only thing the couple decided to end. Eva and Vašek are divorcing after more than thirty years. In an interview with Sunday’s Aha! that’s what Vašek said.
Last December, Vašek Ševčík celebrated his 70th birthday and everything seemed bathed in sunshine. Vašek was married, he and his wife Eva had a house in Florida, and he himself was full of plans. Today, however, everything is different; On July 30, this legendary couple divorced in Blansko. Ševčík only told this information in an interview with Nedělní Aha!, only a few days before Eva announced that she would sing with her brother Hynk.
In an interview, the well-known musician described what actually happened. “Last September twenty-ninth, Eva packed her things, canceled my plane ticket and announced that she wanted to be alone in America. In short, she flew away without me” said Vašek. “I told her let her realize that she is my wife and the family is not a pigeon loft. That if he wants a decent person leaves the family, files for divorce. I added in my anger that there was another option, to hire someone and have them shoot me. Her friends made me aggressive after a stroke.” According to him, Eva took time to thinkthe final decision came around Christmas.
The couple share a house in Florida, but Vašek does not want to return to the US. “Do I will never watch America again. I don’t even want to. That’s actually where my marriage ended,” he admitted, saying that after 35 years of marriage he couldn’t break up from the beginning, that it was over between him and Eva. Now he doesn’t worry anymore and he’s glad it’s over. “That I like the husband and father’s family fell apart, I take it as a personal loss. I am currently deciding how to proceed with my life. And I know one thing for sure. I definitely don’t want to be alone.“
Eva and Vašek have a daughter, Eva, who lives in the USA, where she also has a boyfriend. “We are together in contact, but that’s not it. I feel a certain alienation there. I was fifty when she was born. I always looked forward to celebrating her twentieth birthday together. I couldn’t. Unfortunately, this was not possible for me due to the breakup,” saddened the musician, who wants to continue to devote himself to music and sound technologies.
