In December 2022, Katarzyna Grochola announced that she was diagnosed with lung cancer and underwent two surgeries. Then the writer posted online videos from the hospital on Płocka Street in Warsaw and made sure that everything was on the right track. Despite suffering from lung cancer, the writer did not give up smoking. Last March, Katarzyna Grochola posted a video online in which she admitted her addiction and asked her fans for help.
– My prey, help me. I’ve dealt with a lot of things in my life, but I can’t deal with this one. I put it on the fire. Even though it seems that alarm bells around the world are ringing to save myself. I quit smoking, now I’m smoking again. I have desmoxan, I have read Allen Carr’s book, maybe you have a way to help me? – she asked on Instagram.
It turns out, however, that the writer did not stop smoking, as can be seen in the last photo she posted on Instagram with her daughter.
