Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders celebrate first game since last season’s cuts

Stars of the Netflix docuseriesAmerica’s Favorite: The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Charly Barbie y Kelly Villares They celebrated their first match as official members of the team after not making the team last season.

Charly, 23, shared a short video via TikTok On Saturday, August 24, she and Kelly rode a bus with the rest of the cheerleading squad to their first game, where Dallas faced the Los Angeles Chargers at AT&T Stadium. The two cheerleaders starred in the first season of America’s sweetheartswhich chronicles the cheerleading squad’s 2023-2024 season from tryouts through the end of the NFL season.

“COMING TO YOU LIVE FOR OUR FIRST GAME 🥹🥹🥹💙💙💙⭐️⭐️⭐️🏈🏈🏈 #dallascowboyscheerleaders #americassweethearts,” Charly wrote in her video, which showed her and Kelly cheering with two yellow roses, to the song “If I Was a Cowboy” by Miranda Lambert.

Kelly and Charly, who had been the last to be cut last season, joined the 2024-2025 team along with Reece Allman y Anna Kate Sunvoldalong with 10 other rookies and 24 veterans.

Charly shared the news that she had been named to the 2024-2025 team via Instagram on July 24. “I AM A DALLAS COWBOYS CHEERLEADER,” she wrote in her post. “💙Wow. I have never worked harder for anything in my life.”

He added: “I truly feel that from the bottom of my heart. This has been the most rewarding, transformative and amazing challenge I have ever embarked on.”

Continuing her post, Charly explained that “becoming a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader has been the furthest thing from easy, but the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life.”

It has brought me so many blessings and made being part of the team this year the most rewarding experience I have ever had.”

Kelly, who became a fan favorite during the first season of America’s sweetheartsannounced that she had joined the Dallas Cowboys cheerleading squad on July 25 via Instagram. “I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to process the fact that my lifelong dream has come true,” she wrote. The New Jersey native dyed her hair from blonde to brown for the show’s makeover episode, but was cut from the squad anyway.

“It is an absolute honor and privilege to dance alongside such wonderful women and be a part of such an incredible organization,” she wrote last month. “Grateful is an understatement.”
