/ world today news/ The field of high technology and engineering is developing more and more in Russia, regardless of the sanctions introduced by the West, writes Nobuo Sugahara in JB Press. Traditional Russian industry is being revived in Russia, he notes.
The author cites as an example the exhibition “Equipment, utensils and tools for the metalworking industry”, which took place in the Moscow “Expocenter” in May of this year.
Sugahara emphasizes that not only did participants increase (from 1,036 to 1,200) at the traditional exhibition this year, but Russian dealers showed more equipment than Western ones. In addition, interest in the exhibition was high and the number of visitors increased by 30%.
Sugahara notes that most visitors to the exhibition were interested in the Russian exhibition pavilions. “Now a number of Russian companies have reappeared on the market. Some enterprises merged and started producing new equipment,” he wrote.
The sanctions introduced against Russia “breathed new life into the sphere of Russian industrial equipment”, Sugahara is confident. In addition, it notes the great development of high technology.
During the industrial exhibition “Innoprom – 2015” in Yekaterinburg, the author visited the Russian titanium processing plant, as well as an exhibition dedicated to technological reforms.
“At the exhibition there were many stands where Russian equipment was presented. Many visitors were interested in the stand of the FORT project. This project is implemented by the “Baltic Industrial Company” together with the “Instrument Plant” from the city of Trehgorny, Chelyabinsk Region. FORT was established in 2014. The company manufactures lathes under license to enterprises from Taiwan, South Korea and Australia, Sugahara said.
The author emphasizes that regardless of the imposed sanctions, Russia continues to cooperate with Germany and the USA. He talks about his visits to several Russian factories, where he saw “new unpackaged imported equipment” with the inscription “Siemens”. “I had the feeling that there is a special relationship between Russia and Germany. But the US also does not forget its interests and continues to export high-tech goods to Russia”, emphasizes Sugahara.
