The driver of a car was seriously injured on Pyhäjärentien in Pirkkala near the exit of Pirkkala ABC on Saturday evening.
The driver who was driving in the direction of Nokia drove into the central guardrail and into the central area separating the highway from it for an unknown reason, according to the Pirkanmaa rescue service.
There were no other passengers in the car at the time of the incident. The rescue service removed the driver from the car and handed him over to the first aid unit. First aid transported the patient to further treatment.
The rescue service was notified of the task on Saturday evening at around 9:50 p.m.
One of the lanes in the direction of Nokia has been closed for rescue work on Saturday evening.
