Feyenoord will not accept the latest offer of 33 million euros in total for Santiago Gimenez, De Telegraaf says late Sunday afternoon. According to the newspaper, Nottingham Forest’s offer is ‘false’ as it contains a number of bonuses.

Fabrizio Romano announced on Sunday a new mega offer for Gimenez worth 33 million euros including bonuses. That information is correct, but in Feyenoord’s eyes it is difficult to realize the variables, he said The Telegraph at least.

This is the third offer from Nottingham Forest, which, like the previous two offers, mainly includes bonuses. The conditions imposed are said to be very difficult to meet. For example, Forest need to finish in a very high place in the Premier League rankings and Gimenez needs a fantastic performance.

Yes according to The Telegraph therefore there is no registered application. If Feyenoord accepted the offer, Mats Wieffer would remain the most expensive player ever sold. The midfielder left for Brighton & Hove Albion for 32 million euros this summer.

Feyenoord were expected to collect around 27 million euros if Forest’s offer was accepted. Feyenoord does not believe that the rest of the amount is feasible under the conditions offered.

It will not be too complicated for the Premier League club to meet Gimenez’s personal wishes. The Mexican striker can improve significantly compared to his current salary. A better offer may be needed to convince Feyenoord as a club to make the move.

In England, the Deadline is Friday, August 30. That’s the last day English clubs can buy. Feyenoord themselves will have until Monday, September 2 to sign players, as Deadline Day in the Netherlands is scheduled a few days later.
