Spartan hesitation
Slovácko took the lead twice at Letná after Vlasij Sinjavskij and Michael Krmenčík scored in the first half. The favorite equalized each time, Asger Sörensen scored in the opening act and substitute Veljko Birmančevič scored from the penalty spot in the end.
Although Sparta did not lose in the top competition for the seventeenth time in a row, they did not win at home for the first time this season. Letenště could not get in the ideal mood for Tuesday’s rematch of the final fourth preliminary round of the Champions League with Malmö, against whom they will defend a 2-0 lead from the away match. Slovácko scored points against Sparta for the first time after three matches, at the beginning of the season they also drew at home with Slavia. The team from Uherské Hradiště has not lost four rounds in a row.
“We have 11 games behind us in the new season with a balance of nine wins and two draws. It is not enough for a club like Sparta, it should have been 11 victories. However, we must not carry the disappointment into revenge. We need to clear our heads and concentrate on Malmö, which we will do now,” added the Danish coach.

However, after the intervention of the video referee, a free kick was played instead of a penalty kick, as the foul occurred in front of the goal. At the same time, Černý canceled Petrášek’s second yellow and immediately awarded him a red card. Hradec finished by ten for the third time in the season. Bosnian Šehič shot over from the subsequent free kick.

The home team then pressed the East Bohemian rival, but Zlatohlávek missed Šehič’s cross in front of the goal and Leipold shot over from close range. Coach Saňák’s men got the coveted second goal in the 80th minute. Noslin’s pass in front of the goal was not deflected by captain Kodeš, and Vacek scored a full point gain for the home team from close range. He scored in the league for the first time since last March.
