BGN 1,030 reached the average pension for social security experience and age in July this year, the National Social Security Institute reported. The growth is 13.6 percent compared to a year earlier.
Before the modernization of pensions from July 1, the average amount of that for seniority and age in June was BGN 910, BNR reports.
Thus, the effect of the increase in pensions granted until the end of last year by 11 percent is BGN 120 for people with sufficient experience and age.
The cumulative increase for all pensions, including social pensions not related to work, June compared to July, is BGN 107, while the average for the country is now BGN 933.
In addition to the growth of pensions, there is also an increase in the number of pensioners. A month ago, they were almost 2,046,000, or 15,700 more than a year earlier.
After the modernization of pensions, it doubled and the number of people who are limited by the pension ceiling remained at 3,400 BGN, and now 4,610 people do not receive their real pensions, while at the end of last year there were few in this situation over 2,000.
From January to July, the State Social Insurance reported income from insurance in the amount of BGN 7,413 billion, and expenses were BGN 13,755 billion.
The deficit of BGN 6.342 million is covered by the state budget. The largest expenditure is for pensions – BGN 12.113 billion, which is BGN 1.4 billion more than in the same period last year.
