Chelsea FC’s squad currently consists of 39 players – and the Blues are still happily shopping. This makes it all the more important that something happens on the departure side. The departure of Armando Broja (22) was actually as good as done. He was supposed to go to newly promoted Ipswich Town on loan with a mandatory purchase fee of 35 million. Now the deal has apparently fallen through at the last minute.

The centre-forward failed his medical, reports the Sun, among others. Due to signs of an Achilles tendon injury, Ipswich are said to have refrained from signing the Albanian international. It is not yet clear whether he will continue at Chelsea – where they have no use for Broja – or whether another club will snap him up.

All eyes on Mbappé
After a mixed performance against RCD Mallorca (1:1), Kylian Mbappé (25) is set to make his home debut in royal white. This Sunday, he will face local rivals Real Valladolid (5 p.m.). “Mbappé is coming home. The French phenomenon makes his debut as a Real Madrid player at the Bernabéu”headlined the ‘as’ and added: “He didn’t shine, but he didn’t disappoint either. The extraordinary Mbappé is yet to come.”
