NASA’s Boeing Starliner Astronauts Set for February 2025 Return: SpaceX to Rescue Wilmore and Williams

NASA announced yesterday that astronauts from the first crewed mission of the Boeing “Starliner” spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS), which is lost in space due to the spacecraft’s inactivity, will return in February 2025.

Astronauts Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Sunita “Suni” Williams were supposed to return to Earth in mid-June, just over a week after their launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida (United States), but Throttle failures and small Helium leaks are on. the “Starliner” stopped coming back.

“NASA has decided that Butch and Suni will return with a crew next February and the “Starliner” will return without a crew,” announced the administrator of the North American space agency, Bill Nelson, at a press conference in Houston .

Bill Nelson did not specify when the Boeing spacecraft will return.

The return of the two astronauts to Earth will take place on board the SpaceX ship, owned by multi-millionaire Elon Musk.
