/ world today news/ The former acting foreign minister Radi Naydenov will become the ambassador of Bulgaria to Switzerland.
Before heading the foreign policy department in the service cabinet appointed by President Rumen Radev, Naydenov was ambassador in Berlin. A few days before the announcement of the names of the third government with Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, he was nominated as foreign minister, but in the end the post was taken by Ekaterina Zaharieva, who, in addition to diplomacy, will also be responsible for judicial reform as deputy prime minister.
Radi Naydenov is the grandson of the former Minister of Justice /1946-1958/ Radi Naydenov Sr., during whose time the biggest political purges of the so-called People’s court. It was then that the democratic opposition was beheaded by rigged trials, the most famous of which was against Nikola Petkov.
In 1992, Radi Naydenov’s grandson started working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and in 1994 he was appointed attaché and third secretary in our embassy in Switzerland.
We remind you that the former acting prime minister and acting foreign minister Marin Raykov /2013/ issued an order for his own appointment as ambassador to Rome after the end of his official cabinet. Now they approached “more decently”.
