Details of the Romanian aid were discussed by the chiefs of general staff from Poland and Romania.
“The Romanian side is sending us a team to explain the causes of the incident and declares that it will do everything to regain the trust of residents,” Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz informed on social media.
Bemowo Piskie. Accident during military exercises
The incident was reported by the General Command on Friday morning. “During allied shooting involving Romanian soldiers, ricochets damaged a building located near the shooting range,” it said.
– The incident took place during exercises of the Battalion Combat Group operating under the leadership of the Americans. The case is being investigated by the Military Police – said Interia – Colonel Marek Pawlak, press spokesman for the General Commander of the Armed Forces, told Interia. No one was injured. The command assured that the losses would be compensated.
The Battalion Battle Group consists of soldiers from the USA, Great Britain, Croatia and Romania. The Group is stationed in Bemowo Piskie and cooperates with the 15th Giżycko Mechanized Brigade.
