DPD PDIP and Golkar confirmation of Airin-Ade Sumardi in tomorrow’s Banten gubernatorial election

Provincial Leadership Council (DPD) PDIP by DPD Golkar party he will declare a duet Airin Rachmi Diany-Ade Sumardi as a candidate for governor and deputy governor of Banten in Simultaneous regional elections 2024.

This confirmation event was announced in an invitation letter issued by the DPD PDIP and Golkar dated August 23. According to the letter, the event will be held at ICE BSD Tangerang, Banten, on Sunday (25/8).

The respective letters of invitation were signed by the Chairman of the DPD PDIP Banten Ade Sumardi and the Chairman of the DPD Golkar Banten Ratu Tatu Chasanah.

PDIP DPC South Tangerang President Wanto Sugito confirmed that his party and Golkar will nominate the Airin-Ade duet in the 2024 Banten gubernatorial election.

In addition to Airin-Ade’s confirmation, PDIP and Golkar will also declare candidate pairs for governor and deputy governor as well as candidates for mayor and deputy mayor in Banten.

The PDI-P DPP chairman, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, also confirmed that his party would nominate Airin and Ade in the 2024 Banten gubernatorial election.

“That’s right,” said Djarot.

At the same time, the Deputy Chairman of Golkar, Adies Kadir, said that he did not know exactly what the agenda was made by Golkar DPD.

“I will examine the current situation first,” Adies said when confirmed CNNDonesia.com.

The president of DPD Golkar Banten, Ratu Tatu, has not yet responded to the declaration CNNDonesia.com regarding Airin-Ade’s confirmation agenda.

Airin was the Mayor of South Tangerang for two terms. She is the wife of Ratu Atut Chosiyah’s younger brother, Tubagus Chaeri Wardana alias Wawan.

Meanwhile, Ade Sumardi is currently the Chairman of PDIP Banten DPD. Ade was also elected as a member of the Banten DPRD 2024-2029.

Previously, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristianto said his party was still open to the possibility of naming Airin as a candidate for governor in the 2024 Banten regional elections.

Hasto said Airin would be paired with Banten DPD PDIP Chairman Ade Sumardi.

“From the reports we received, including Mr. Ahmad Basarah, who served in Banten with Mbak Ning, there is a movement of people to further strengthen the two Mba Airin and Ade Sumardi,” said Hasto at the PDIP DPP office, Jakarta, Thursday (22/8).
