Kerala Weather | Low Pressure, Cycling; Heavy rain in Kerala today, yellow alert in three districts

Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in Kerala today. A trough of low pressure has formed from Maharashtra coast to north Kerala coast. Another depression over West Bengal and Northeast Jharkhand and a cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal is strengthening the rains in Kerala Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places today and on August 27. Accordingly, yellow alert has been announced in Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts today isolated heavy rain is expected. 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain is expected in 24 hours.
