… have a say in politics. How young people feel represented and heard.
Today we’re talking about the results of the European elections, the elections in France and how political education is presented in the classroom. In this episode, Julian Bidot and Max Ernst talk to former DFG student Amelie about what they believe are the most important political issues that politicians should address and call for more political education in the classroom.

The podcast moderators Julian Bidot, Anouk Viero and Max Ernst from the German-French Gymnasium in Saarbrücken discuss this important democratic issue controversially and from different perspectives with Prof. Dr. Jörg Tremmel, a proven expert on intergenerational justice, and the state chairman of the Junge Union Saar, Fabian Laßotta, on the basis of many facts and background information.
In the podcast series of the Saarland State Office for Political Education “Let’s talk – politics and society by and for young people”, Julian Bidot, Anouk Viero and Max Ernst, three committed students from the Franco-German High School in Saarbrücken, have a lively and well-founded discussion about current topics that interest young people. Together with various guests from politics, society and science, they delve into topics such as digitalization in schools, voting from the age of 16 and climate protection.
The aim of the podcast series is to motivate teenagers and young adults to engage with political and social decision-making processes and to help shape political and social life, as well as to inform them about current issues in their everyday lives.
The selection of topics, preparation of the discussion and the discussion itself were prepared and conducted by the young people.
