The AFVD is organizing the ERIMA GFL Bowl on 12./13.10.2024 a trainer congress with top-class speakers in Essen.
The congress will take place in the Haus der Technik, Hollestr. 1 in 45127 Essen. The Haus der Technik is Germany’s oldest continuing education institute. The listed building offers the latest conference technology in over 40 conference rooms. Located north of the main train station, it is also very easy to reach by public transport.
This event is an A-level training course for coaches and is suitable for all license levels as well as for non-licensed coaches and players. The lectures will take place partly in parallel on two stages.
The speakers include Shuan Fatah, head coach of the German men’s national team, Markus Grahn, head coach of the Rostock Griffins and Philipp Stursberg, head coach of the U19 tackle youth national team. The AFVD also thought outside the box when selecting the speakers, so Prof. Dr. Richard Latzel from the TH-Deggendorf will speak about sports medicine and Markus Zidek, the athletic trainer of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, will introduce neuroathletics.
Of course, flag football also plays a major role with a view to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Frank Grimm, career advisor at the Hessen Olympic Training Center at the Hessen State Sports Association, will give tips on the topic of sports careers. And there will be well-known surprise guests from the world of flag football.
