MerahPutih.com – Elon Musk’s latest brain chip implant patient is seen playing game Counter-Strike 2 after surgery.
Neuralink, which is designed to help paralyzed patients, is said to be able to control digital devices through a person’s thoughts.
The company also shared recent news about their second patient, Alex, who suffered a previous spinal cord injury.
Since the accident, he has had to use a mouth stick through sip-and-puff pressure and a lip position sensor to play. But, now the former auto technician is able to use his mind.

“It’s fun just running because I can see to the side, there’s no need to move the Quadstick left and right,” explained Alex, who was quoted from The SunFriday (23/8).
“I can [memikirkan di mana] look for it and the results will be according to my wishes. This is crazy.”
Neuralink said Alex’s surgery went well and he was released from the hospital the next day. They claim that it takes less than five minutes to start controlling the computer cursor with your mind.
Through the use of the Neuralink Link device, Alex can also work on projects. On the second day, he was already using 3D design software without relying too much on the support system. Of course, he also designed a special stand for his Neuralink charger that was printed in 3D.

“Taking an idea, turning it into a design, and having a physical object as a finished product makes me feel like I’m building something again,” Alex continues.
Neuralink also shared an update on the complications experienced by their first test patients. Several threads were pulled from Noland Arbaugh’s brain shortly after his internment.
This also leads to a reduction in effective electrodes that are important for recording brain activity, thus affecting the ability to monitor the speed and accuracy of the device.
To avoid similar problems with Alex’s thread, experts reduced brain movement during surgery and narrowed the distance between the implant and the surface of the brain.

The company also shared details about its future plans. They said: “We plan to enable Link to interact with the physical world, allowing users to feed themselves and move more independently by controlling the robotic arm or their wheelchair.” (soft)
