These are not just assumptions, but statements by Christoph Hartmann, Vice President Amazon GamesAmazon Games has been announced as the publisher of the next Tomb Raider game in December 2022, and according to Hartman, despite the uproar surrounding Embracer, Crystal Dynamics continues to make good progress in developing Tomb Raider.
Hartman said in exchange IGN:
Obviously people are looking at what the parent company is doing, but it hasn’t affected resources, and it hasn’t made any management changes for them, so they’re fine.
Working on a new Tomb Raider game means the bar is very high. The longer it takes, the higher the expectations, so it’s a lot of work, but things are moving forward. I mean, there are some really cool ideas here.
