McDonald’s put on sale a special box with the BT21 characters which arise from a collaboration between BTS and the company Line Friends and which have been a global phenomenon that has also impacted Mexico with the high popularity of the band. K-Pop.
The sale of this special little box BT21 It would only be available through the McDonald’s app starting at 12 noon on Wednesday, August 21. Users had to find a coupon within the app to then purchase a medium McTrio with 10 nuggets for 199 pesos and, with that, receive one of the BT21 characters from the promotion.

While some users on social media expressed their displeasure at not being able to access the app, which displayed an error or simply did not load to make the purchase, other users who were unaware of the promotion were upset at not being able to purchase their normal products.
“What’s wrong with the McDonald’s app??? I logged in this morning and everything was fine… Now that I tried to log in, it won’t load. How crappy, I can’t stand the power of Army,” said user @AnitaZamoraArmy of the social network X, formerly Twitter.

The most common error that the application threw up was that a connection to the server could not be established because there was no internet, despite the fact that users demonstrated that they had WiFi or a data connection on their phones.
The characters available in the promotion were Tata, RJ, Chimmy, Cooky, Shooky, Mang, Koya and Van.
