The fire that broke out earlier in Aspropyrgos in a chemical and fertilizer factory has been brought under control.
However, according to information from ERT, four firefighters have been taken to the “Attikon” hospital, after experiencing breathing problems.
As it was known earlier, a tank with nitric acid was burning, causing the atmosphere in the area to be suffocating.
According to information from the Fire Department, the tank contains 1.5 tons of this toxic substance. The fire is dangerous for this and the workers were removed both from the specific factory and from other nearby factories.
While at the same time, a 112 message was sent for the citizens who were nearby to close windows and doors.
