Al-Marsad Newspaper: Yesterday, Thursday, the security authorities in Iraq announced that the famous artist Sabah Al-Ammari was arrested in the city of Bismayah in Baghdad.
Security sources told local media that the operation was carried out based on the implementation of a security duty related to one of the missing persons, whose name is the artist Sabah Al-Ammari, stressing that the arrest pursuant to Article 28 of the Drug Law, which relates to drug offences.
The sources explained, “Crystal was the main substance seized in Al-Amari’s house, which is considered one of the most dangerous types of drugs popular in Iraq today. “
Al-Amari will be presented to the investigating judge, according to the provisions of Article 28 of the Law on Combating Psychotropic Substances and Narcotic Substances.
Article 28 of the Anti-Narcotics Law prescribes a life imprisonment penalty for anyone who possesses, promotes, or possesses narcotic substances, psychotropic substances, or chemical precursors.
It should be noted that Sabah Al-Amari is an Iraqi singer known for his folk style of singing, and his performance of some songs, including “Kolulham Shadda wa Kadat,” has succeeded in attracting attention and transcending the movement in previous periods.
