This campaign is called “Great Donation Marathon” seeks to encourage blood donation due to the high need for units in the department to meet the needs of patients and requirements to address any emergency that may arise.
For the above, The Once Caldas team will reward those who come this weekend to donate blood, for which they will hand out tickets for entry to the game against Jaguares on Sunday.
The day will take place inAt the Palogrande Stadium, from Friday, August 23 to Sunday, August 25, where it is mainly required units of blood type O Positive and O Negativeblood groups with the highest demand in the department’s clinics and hospitals, since every day these health service providers require more than 70 units, however this goal is not achieved, having an average monthly deficit of 2 thousand units.
“Blood is needed daily and can only be stored for 42 daysbefore being transfused, with a donation up to 3 lives can be saved and it is essential for surgical procedures, emergencies, patients with cancer and leukemia, among others,” he said. Rafael Giraldo Llano, Manager of the Coffee Hemocenter.
The invitation is for citizens, fans, and supporters of Manizales to come to gate number 18 of the Palogrande Stadium, where Once Caldas will give them a ticket for the next match on Sunday as a thank you.
Blood collection times at gate 18 of the Palogrande stadium:
- Friday, August 23, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Saturday, August 24, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Sunday, August 25, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
