In the mid-90s, Izabela Trojanowska decided to return to Poland after spending several years abroad, mainly in Berlin. She quickly began working with musicians who were then playing in the band Bajm. Thanks to this cooperation, her first album after a long break was created. The recording sessions took place both in Berlin and in Poland. Working together with Adam Abramek and Paweł Sot brought them closer not only professionally, but also on a private level.
The time spent in Poland was a period of intense work for Trojanowska, but also an opportunity to make risky decisions. Joint trips to the airport in Świdnik, where the musicians from Bajm indulged in their passion for parachute jumps, could have cost the star her life.

Izabela Trojanowska and her friends went skydiving. At the last minute, she withdrew
Friends persuaded Izabela Trojanowska to join them and try her hand at extreme sports. Although the artist was initially reluctant, she eventually agreed to the jump. At the last minute, her plans were thwarted by her husband’s brother, a famous neurosurgeon, who He strongly advised her against the venture due to the risks involved with the jump.
The decision to abandon the jump probably saved the star’s life. Instead of Izabela Trojanowska, a young student boarded the plane and took her place. Unfortunately, a tragedy occurred during the jump – the girl’s parachute did not open, which led to her death. Izabela Trojanowska recalls that information about this tragedy reached her shortly afterwards.
This dramatic story had a profound impact on the life of the artist, who to this day believes that providence was watching over her fate.
Someone was watching over me. My dad and grandma – she said, recalling those events. This belief accompanies her at many moments in her life, reminding her how close her fate was to having a completely different outcome.
A last-minute decision saved Izabela Trojanowska’s life
The incident at the airport in Świdnik was not the only dramatic experience in Trojanowska’s life. A few years earlier, on the set of the television show “Carmilla”, the artist experienced a trauma that caused her claustrophobia. During the shooting, her colleagues locked her in a coffin for half an hour as a joke. This traumatic experience left a mark on her psyche – the cure for all fears turned out to be her later adventure with glider flights, to which she was encouraged by the same musicians of the band Bajm.
The glider flight turned out to be good therapy. I proved to myself then that I can overcome any fear – recalled Trojanowska in her book.
Izabela Trojanowska sometimes jokes that she cheated fate and got a second life from fate. The story with the parachute is proof that life can be unpredictable and full of surprises. Only a lucky fate ensured that the artist is still among us.
