The National Conference of Bishops of Brazil welcomed with great joy and fervor the news of your appointment as bishop of the prelature of Itacoatiara, in Amazonas. Let us pray to God that your presence in the prelature may be a sign of Pope Francis’ dreams for the biome expressed in the post-synodal apostolic exhortation ‘Querida Amazônia’.
We believe that your pastoral work will be marked by the proclamation of the Gospel, closeness to those most in need, the promotion of peace and justice and the continuous search for holiness.
May Our Lady of the Rosary, mother and patroness of the prelature of Itacoatiara (AM), intercede for our brother and may God enlighten him in his new mission.
