– She answers the police’s questions – as she has always done and will do in the future. We are scheduled to have another hearing next week, says Snekkestad’s support lawyer Petter J. Grødem to Dagbladet.
Grødem says it has been a difficult time for her client, after she went on social media and was accused of violence by her ex-boyfriend Marius Borg Høiby.
– Being under pressure is obviously heavy and challenging. There has been a lot of pressure in the media, he says and says:
– The most important thing for her now is to tell her story so that the truth comes out and prevent something like this from happening again.
Snekkestad was in a relationship with Princess Mette-Marit’s son, Marius Borg Høiby, from 2018 to 2022.
On August 4, the police received a report of a violent incident in an apartment on Frogner the night before, where the former lover of Marius Borg Høiby lives. The 27-year-old was arrested at Jansløkka school in Asker later the same day, and charged with bodily harm and damage.
Two of Høiby’s ex-girlfriends, Snekkestad and Nora Hauland (27), have since taken to social media and accused them of violence. This has led the police to open cases classified under section 282 of the Criminal Code – abuse in intimate relationships. The two former lovers were given offensive status.
