District festival in Kreideberg/Ochtmissen: Colorful program with colorful guests – climate protection team provides advice on site
HANSEATIC CITY OF LÜNEBURG. – The district festival in Kreideberg/Ochtmissen on Saturday, August 31st invites you to take part, watch and exchange ideas. From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. there will be a colorful program for young and old between Neuhauser Strasse and Thorner Platz. This year’s motto is “colorful world.” Around 30 clubs, activities and institutions from the districts and beyond are organizing this program.
At the stand of the city’s climate protection team, there will be a climate quiz with a competition, information on the climate adaptation concept and advice on energy-saving renovations and city funding programs. In addition, interested parties can show their ideas for the design of the city on a “Lüneburg carpet”, for example with city bike stations or water dispensers.
In keeping with the festival’s colorful motto, particularly colorful guests are expected: 20 to 25 furries, including a Nordic red fox named “Betelgeuse” – the guardian of light. Never heard of “furries”? Furry – English for furry or plush – is the collective term for the loving animal creatures that like to spread joy and good cheer. The variety of colorful guests ranges from huskies to dragons and hybrids.
As always, the proceeds from the district festival go to youth work in the districts of Ochtmissen and Kreideberg.
