Ajax has reached an agreement with Juventus and Daniele Rugani on the direct loan of the central defender. The Amsterdam club announced this on Wednesday afternoon.
The Italian player’s loan is for one season, until June 30, 2025.
The seven-time Italian international is under contract with Juventus until mid-2026.
“With Daniele Rugani we are bringing in a player who has years of experience in one of the biggest European competitions. He is an intelligent, tall defender who is strong in duels. His arrival means an experience boost for our selection and relatively young defence. In this way the team will be better balanced,” said technical director Alex Kroes in an explanation.
Financial details were not shared.
