Anonymous letter on Sharon murder scene, ‘Who knows, speak up’

(ANSA) – TERNO D’ISOLA (BERGAMO), 21 AUG – “Cain is anyone who doesn’t speak, anyone who doesn’t tell the truth. No one can bring it back to us but someone can give an explanation for all of this. Do not be accomplices to this brutality: Sharon is everyone’s daughter, she is a part of our lives. Whoever knows, do not turn away, do not hide, but have the courage to give justice to a life”. These are some of the passages of an anonymous letter written by hand in blue pen, which appeared this afternoon in via Castegnate, at the spot where Sharon Verzeni was killed on the night between 29 and 30 July. The letter – written on an A4 sheet of paper inserted in a plastic envelope and affixed to the wall above and around the bunches of flowers that had been there for some time – is an appeal to anyone who may have seen something useful to the investigation, to come forward to the investigators. In the meantime, Sharon’s uncles were also summoned and questioned this afternoon, for about three hours, at the provincial command of the Carabinieri in Bergamo. (ANSA).
