“champagne problems” | 21. August 2024
Hit your thumb with a hammer? No, it’s not that bad after all – but things aren’t going well with the Swiss celebrity sweet home. Or at least not with their construction. Complaints and botches spoil the feeling of construction.
It’s not so good if you can’t build your 270 square meter town because it’s too big. Xherdan Shaqiri is now taking the problem to the Federal Court.Photos: Keystone
Former ice hockey pro Mark Streit isn’t the only Swiss celebrity in trouble for building a house. Actor Hazel Brugger, professional footballer Xherdan Shaqiri and former tennis pro Roger Federer are also struggling with arguments about achieving their new homes:
Villa Xherdan Shaqiris The professional footballer actually wants to build a 270 square meter town in Rheinfelden AG for 2.8 million francs according to the strict Minergie-P standard. However, a building permit issued in 2022 was revoked again.
The administrative court agreed to a complaint from the community. According to the decision, the proposed floor area of the city on a 1,000 square meter plot exceeded the maximum utilization rate by more than 13 percent. Shaqiri took the decision to the Federal Court.
Roger Federer’s Boathouse The former tennis star has been building a town directly on Lake Zurich in Rapperswil-Jona SG since 2019. Complaints, old structure plans and a dispute along the river as well as the disease have been loosely suspended several times.
After all, we had to go back to 2017 to get an unsatisfied picture of Roger Federer. But for him too, things are somehow going badly with construction.
Six buildings are now under construction on the 17,000 square meter site. But Federer and his family will not be staying there at this time. One problem is a building permit for a houseboat. Several complaints are pending with the city.
Federer has been building his home on Lake Zurich since 2019.
There’s supposed to be a boathouse down there on the bottom right, but a club is fighting it.
The club is fighting for free access to lake shores and watercourses. He is afraid that if Federer’s boathouse were to be given permission, the seafront would be built on in many places.
Hasel Bruggers Superbude: The Swiss actress moved into a new home in southern Hesse, Germany with her husband and two children four months ago. There is a doormat with “Superbude” printed on the front of the house, but the 30-year-old is struggling with several construction defects and an ugly dispute is brewing with the construction company.
And even if Hazel Brugger may not have known about her erection problems in 2017 – when this photo was taken – erection is now difficult enough, as the actor found out.
“Because we were threatened by construction workers on our construction site, we recently needed personal protection,” Brugger recently told her more than 800,000 followers on Instagram. She also posted a photo of a car belonging to a private security service. In her own Instagram section “Construction”, she and her husband Thomas Spitzer have published dozens of photos of defects: unusable water connections, light wells that were too deep and water on the flat roof that did not drain away.
