The man initially drove away in a car, but he and his passenger were arrested near the crime scene after a brief search, police said in a news release.
Came in through the window
The 31-year-old reached the first floor around 3am using a ladder parked at the back of the house and entered the house through an open window. When the 33-year-old homeowner heard a noise and turned on the light in the bedroom, she noticed a man with a masked face standing in the room. He stole a bunch of keys and then escaped downstairs through the window.
Crossbow and kitchen knife
After fleeing shortly, police stopped the suspect’s car. There was also a passenger in it, a 35-year-old man from Klagenfurt. Drugs were taken from him in the form of tablets and a white powder that has not yet been described in detail. A crossbow and a kitchen knife were also found in the car, although both are already under an official weapons ban. Both suspects were arrested.
