The contract situation between CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys is getting closer to a resolution. NFC East team owner Jerry Jones expressed optimism about contract negotiations with the wide receiver after the team’s practice in Oxnard, California.
“I think I am (optimistic), and when I say it it doesn’t sound all that rosy. The facts are I think we’ll be together. I don’t want to speak for him, I’m not trying to do that,” Jones said. “However, we wouldn’t have offered him what we’ve offered him if we didn’t want him to be here.”

Multiple reports said the Cowboys contacted Lamb by phone last week and America’s Team offered him an annual salary in the region of $33 million.
According to Spotrac, Lamb will play the 2024 season with a salary of $17.99 million, the product of the fifth-year option of his rookie contract. However, in his first four seasons as a professional he earned $14.13 million.
