The Jannik Sinner affair is one that is likely to cause more talk than expected in the tennis world.
Many players, former players and coaches reacted and generally all agreed that the Italian would not have received the same treatment if he had not been world number one.
This is what Lucas Pouille particularly highlighted on his account X : “What about players who were banned for only 3 absences and never tested positive?”
What about players that got banned for 3 no shows only and never been tested positive ..

To which Canadian Vasek Pospisil responded with a personal testimony that shows once again that lower ranked players are less privileged.
It’s even worse now that they are giving “Filing Failures” and going back months to see where you made errors in the details of your submissions. It’s happened to me already where I put the right address and time.. they never came to test me but later saw that my “in competition”… https://t.co/D2cbpfE7VQ

“It’s even worse now that they give ‘failed submissions’ and go back months to see where you made mistakes in your submission details. This happened to me before when I put the correct address and time. They never came to test me but later saw that my ‘in competition’ and ‘out of competition’ registration was not correct. They went back 2 months to give me a penalty for this. I appealed and it was not overturned. So you can have 2 failed submissions and 1 no show and be banned for 2 years.”
