The events occurred around 9:00 a.m. this Tuesday when unit 3304 of the Metrobús line 2 was circulating on the intersection of Plutarco Elias Calles and Santa Anita avenues, Santa Anita neighborhoodwhen the driver slammed on the emergency brakes after noticing that two women had crossed his path and hit one of them.

Emergency services arrived at the scene and assessed the pedestrian, identified as Lucía, approximately 50 years old, with severe head trauma and she was rushed to the ISSSTE hospital in Zaragoza.

Seven other passengers were also injured by the emergency braking, six women and one man who were treated on the spot.

While the driver of the unit, identified as Mario, 33 years old, was arrested and presented before the public ministry for the determination of responsibilities.
