Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has had two lives at Manchester United. Louis Saha knew him as a teammate at the Red Devils and believes that a third life should be offered to him within the Mancunian club: that of coach, a role in which he would excel from his point of view.
Cristiano Ronaldo had two very different experiences at Manchester United. A first of six seasons during which he won everything and experienced various emotions among the Red Devils before becoming a legend of Real Madrid. Upon his return in 2021, Cristiano Ronaldo landed in a club very different from the one he had known until his huge falling out with Erik Ten Hag which led to the termination of his contract in the fall of 2022, followed by his exile in Saudi Arabia.

“Cristiano Ronaldo has the passion and the will to return to Manchester United one day”
Louis Saha rubbed shoulders with Cristiano Ronaldo for much of his time at Manchester and believes that, at almost 40 years old, Ronaldo could quickly turn to a coaching career. “Cristiano Ronaldo has the passion and the will to return to Manchester United one day. It could be as a coach or even manager”. Louis Saha explains to TVSporten the failure of the second passage of Cristiano Ronaldo has Manchester United by a lack of passion and involvement among a certain category of players. “His second stint didn’t end up the way everyone had hoped, and you can understand why that frustrated him. He didn’t see the same formula and didn’t see the passion from his young players.”
“He will have to find a new way to communicate when he becomes a coach.”
Former teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo has Manchester United between 2004 and 2008, Louis Saha has already seen everything he needed to be convinced that only communication can elevate Cristiano Ronaldo among the great coaches. “He knows now that he will have to find a new way of communicating when he becomes a coach. He will know how to find a new way of communicating when he is a coach, which may not be as harsh or direct as when he was at the club. He will look for how to succeed and use all his knowledge to achieve it.”
“Cristiano will understand what he has to do as a manager”
To finish, Louis Saha used a very specific example to emphasize his point. “We saw Roy Keane go into management and be successful. Cristiano will understand what he has to do as a manager. I don’t see why he wouldn’t be successful.” Now all that remains is to Cristiano Ronaldo.
