And where is the midfielder currently after the exhausting European Championship? “I feel good and fit,” says Wimmer. The national player (15 appearances) will also be important when the league starts on Sunday. He is expected to provide offensive accents against record champions Bayern.

And Yannick Gerhardt (30) for a stable defense. Despite Wolfsburg’s poor performance in Koblenz, the midfielder is confident that he can have a good start to the season against Bayern.
