Mammootty and Mohanlal as heroes; Enthusiastically ‘Amma’ – Mazhavil Show

Kochi – The ‘Amma’ – Mazhavil Entertainment Award Show started at the Angamaly Deluxe Convention Center with the opening speech of Mammootty and Mohanlal, the pillars of Malayalam cinema. Tributes were paid to those who lost their lives in the Wayanad landslide disaster.

Actress Suhasini hosted the web series ‘Soul Stories’ presented by Manorama Max. Suhasini plays a lead role in this serial. Director Blessy released the trailer of the web series.

The project logo ‘Nammu Prakriti, Nammu Katama’ jointly organized by ‘Amma’, Mazhavil Manorama and Malabar Gold for nature conservation was unveiled at the event. Abdul Jalil, Head of Operations, Malabar Gold and Diamonds, inaugurated the project by giving tree seeds to General Secretary Amma Siddique. Producers Association President Anto Joseph and Secretary B. Rakesh were present.

Jagati amidst praise
Presenting the Ultimate Entertainment Award to Jagathy Sreekumar, Mammootty and Mohanlal shared their film memories with him. Mohanlal stood next to Jagathy praying for her health. Mammootty shared the memory of Jagathy, the genius who took the characters beyond navarasam.

Evergreen Sheelamma
Mammootty and Urvashi jointly presented the Evergreen Entertainer award to the evergreen Malayalam heroine Sheela. Sheelamma is the greenest actress ever. Kudumbani was the first picture of Sheelamma I saw in my memory. Let’s go further in this color’ – said Mammootty.

The song and the dance to download
The evening of art began with a series of songs by a 17-member ensemble led by Mohanlal. The music department was directed by Stephen Devassik. Dance by Mamita Baiju, Ganapathy, Mahima Nambiar, Sania Iyyappan, Shamna Kasim, Nikhila Vimal, Shane Nigam and songs by Anarkali Marikar and Aparna Balamurali enthralled the audience.

Ramesh Pisharati, Rimi Tommy and Arya were the presenters of the programs. Jayaram, Lal, Manoj K. Jayan, Biju Menon, Kunchacko Boban, Joju George, Asif Ali, Amala Paul, Shane Nigam, producers Anton Joseph, G. Suresh Kumar and others presented the awards. Starnisha was directed by Evala Babu.
