Video: The transfer of suspects after the arrests
On Sunday night, personnel from the Sub DDI Tigre of the Buenos Aires Police arrested the two suspects of committing the brutal crime of Martina Schiapelli, the 21-year-old mother of a baby, who died yesterday morning after being run over and dragged by a car, in the middle of an argument that occurred outside the Tropitango nightclub, in General Pacheco. Likewise, investigators found the burned vehicle, hours after the murderers allegedly filed a false robbery complaint. Personnel from the GTO of the provincial force in the area also collaborated in the arrests.
The arrests of the driver, identified as FGG, 34, and his companion, AER, 23, were made possible thanks to undercover work, the collection of testimonies, the analysis of public and private film material carried out by the investigators of the case, as well as the computer search on social networks.
While the Buenos Aires Police were gathering evidence to find the suspects, detectives were notified that minutes before 9 in the morning, just a few hours after Martina’s murder, FGG appeared at the 3rd Police Station in José C. Paz and reported that that same day, at 1 in the morning, two men intercepted him on Salvatori and Washington streets in the aforementioned Buenos Aires municipality and stole his cell phone and the gray Fiat Palio he was driving, the car used in Martina’s murder.
The argument that led to the murder of Martina Scihapelli occurred outside the Tropitango nightclub.
Upon checking the car’s details, the agents confirmed that the vehicle, with address in San Miguel Oeste, was owned by FG,G’s partner.
After analysing the images from the security cameras in Tropitango, investigators confirmed that the driver of the vehicle, his girlfriend and other friends had been at the scene during the early hours of the morning.
The footage allowed to establish that the Fiat Palio in question was already in the vicinity of the dance club at 00:45, which showed that the complaint made by one of the suspects was false. It was also verified that around 5:50, the vehicle in question disappeared within the district of San Miguel, where it was seen at the intersection of Primera Junta and Route 8.
In this way, FGG’s alibi was exposed to the police: he had invented a robbery to confuse investigators, but his attempt was in vain.
He was arrested while walking near his home. When he was handcuffed, he claimed that he did not want to kill the victim, that it was all an accident.
The grey Fiat Palio was found burned in San Miguel Oeste.
Finally, the Fiat Palio appeared completely burned in Florencio Sánchez and Discepolo, in San Miguel Oeste.
The case was handed over to Dr. Karen Bianchi, head prosecutor of the Decentralized UFI of El Talar.
The incident occurred when the victim, Martina Soledad Schiapelli, had left the “Tropitango” nightclub, located on the East Collector of the Pan-American Highway, after dancing.
About five blocks away, a man confronted Schiapelli —for reasons that are still unknown— and began to hit her. As a result, her boyfriend, who was with her, tried to defend her, but another man got out of a vehicle to attack him.
“They started beating my sister-in-law. My brother tried to defend her, but when he tried to defend her, one of the people in the car hit him on the head with an iron bar and started kicking him on the floor,” said Macarena, the victim’s sister-in-law.
Regarding the reasons behind the argument, Macarena said that “they started a problem with her.” And in this regard, she added: “They went dancing, like any other person who goes dancing, and they started walking; they say that the people who were in the car got out and started hitting her.”

The young woman said that the attackers intended to attack Macarena. “My brother asked them to please stop hitting her and I couldn’t do anything,” she said.
In line with the young woman’s statements, two other women were also travelling in the vehicle. When asked if there had been a previous conflict inside the club, Macarena replied: “I asked and they told me no.”
The savage attack was filmed by witnesses. “She got a real flat tire, dude. She got a real flat tire,” can be heard on the video. “He ran her over,” says another of those present, who told the driver: “She’s under you.” Martina died instantly and preliminary reports indicated that her body had “multiple injuries.”
Martina Schiapelli was 21 years old and the mother of a child.
On her social media, Macarena also asked for financial help to be able to hold a wake for Martina. “People, we ask you please if you can help us with whatever you can to cover the funeral expenses of my sister-in-law since we do not have the expenses for the wake, thank you very much,” she wrote. In the message, she recounted what happened and added: “They left a 1-year-old baby without her mother.”
