* Pushing people around the country to sign fake attendance lists
Fear is a bad counselor, especially if it is a major driving force in politics. This can be confirmed by all DPS activists, who in the last few weeks have been subjected to inhuman pressure from the so-called “robbers” in traffic.

For fear of losing the countless wealth accumulated on the backs of the people, the faction of Cevdet Chakarov and Ramadan Atalai openly tramples the party’s constitution and the laws of the country in order to guarantee themselves to remain in that circle around Ahmed Dogan, to whom the honorary leader of the DPS for decades distributes portions of power.
The destruction of this illegal Carthage is one of the main missions announced by party leader Delyan Peevski. The latter was elected at a legitimate National Conference of the DPS as the chairman of the party and firmly defends the position that everything that happens must be done in a legal way and according to the statute of the DPS.
“I signed a declaration that I support Ahmed Dogan, in which there was a lot of general talk. No problem. However, I was surprised when they handed me a list but no introduction or explanation at the top. I was told that the list has no weight, it is just to know how many people will appear for the Central Council. I signed and left, but I called other colleagues who warned me that this is a trap – you sign today, and after days it turns out that you attended a meeting that you probably won’t attend,” revealed a member of the DPS Central Committee.
In fact, however, the whole operation of convening the CA with false documents is legally meaningless. For a change of party chairman to happen, it must happen at a National Conference. A fact of which the breakaways in the DPS are acutely aware.
As a matter of fact, even at the beginning of the attack against Peevski, because of his announced purge of the movement from high-ranking activists enriching themselves at the expense of rank-and-file structures, the separatists tried to pass themselves off as fighters for democracy. At the time, they explained to the media that they were not fighting for their illegal wealth, but for the return of the rule of law and collective bodies. And the statute itself explicitly states how the chairman of the party is elected or replaced. Again, in the party’s statutes, it is written that the Central Council cannot remove the chairman of the movement from his post. For at least two reasons. The first is that by right he is, in addition to being a member and chairman of the Central Committee. And the second and far more important is that one of the primeval maxims in law is that the body that elects also releases. The chairman of the DPS is elected by the supreme body of the movement – the National Conference, and accordingly can only be removed by it. It is important to emphasize here that unlike the right to convene the CS, the Honorary Leader of the DPS cannot convene a National Conference. Again, according to the statute, it is convened either by a decision of 2/3 of the members of the Central Committee (a hypothesis which, as it became clear, is unlikely at the moment), or at the request of the chairman of the movement, but following a long and complicated procedure, taking several months.
Against this background, even if they tried to remove Delyan Peevski from the post of chairman in the “second way” – not through a meeting of the National Conference, but by expelling him as a member of the party on the basis of “disciplinary violations”, this would also not be legally supported . According to lawyers, the expulsion of a member is an internal decision for the party and it does not automatically lead to the release of the relevant person from the post of chairman, because the judicial practice is categorical in this regard – disciplinary sanctions are not a circumstance subject to entry in the court registers.
Not to mention that none of Peevski’s actions correspond to the three hypotheses listed in the Statute for the exclusion of a member of the movement – violation of party secrecy, exceeding the powers given to him, disparaging DPS in the mass media, and also creating of conditions for schism and factionalism, threatening the integrity of the party and its governing bodies, as well as proven corruption or financial and official abuse.
“The new beginning is a fact. Everything must happen according to the statute and laws of the Republic of Bulgaria. Whoever wants to make Central Councils, make them. Good to read the bylaws. This Council does not decide anything,” Peevski himself explained some time ago. Well, apparently the New Beginning is the kick that will stir up the Deribey hive of wasps, which today come out to the light to defend their most valuable – their wealth. And in order to achieve it, they are ready for all kinds of illegal measures, which they have apparently used with impunity over the years. However, before they face head-on Peevski’s determination to return power to where it belongs – in the hands of the people.
