A Head of Footwear will be appointed shortly.

According to the company, the new leadership team will “continue to evaluate the value of Scott’s current business activities and thereby intensively drive sustainable growth – thus proactively and positively shaping the transition to Scott’s next chapter.”
More specifically, the new leadership team will lead a transition plan that focuses on Scott’s core business while “honoring the company’s unique passion and culture” to stabilize the group after a turbulent period in the sporting goods industry.
The main priority will continue to be the bicycle product
The bicycle business, which contributes more than 80 percent to the company’s turnover, will be given central priority in the future.
This means that, according to the company, “investments in the development of world-class products in accordance with Scott’s values of innovation, technology and design will be increased.”
The growth market of urban mobility “and the associated e-bike segment” will be given even greater focus in the future by the bike provider, which comes from the sports sector. At the same time, clothing and footwear competencies are to be expanded. After all, these business areas represent an important source of revenue, not least thanks to the company’s own shoe and sportswear brand Dolomite.
The successful product lines in the bike, running, winter and outdoor sectors are also to be further developed. This means that Scott Sports Group remains a multi-sport provider, but here and there describes itself more as a bike and outdoor provider.
The Scott Sports Group CEO, industry veteran and expert Beat Zaugg, who was laid off at the end of March, was unfortunately not personally available at the time of this research.
