Mexico City. The national leader of the Federation of Unions of State Service Workers (FSTSE), Joel Ayala Almeida, met yesterday with the Secretary of Public Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), Rosa Icela Rodríguez, with whom he discussed issues related to the promotion of IMSS Bienestar, in which members of that union participate.
In an interview, Ayala Almeida said that she recognizes the sensitivity of the official, who will be the Secretary of the Interior in the next government of Claudia Sheinbaum and presented some ideas regarding the promotion of the IMSS Bienestar, which is made up of 55 thousand workers from the Ministry of Health, who did not have a base, but were under contract, on a payroll and for fees.
They now have a base in the IMSS Bienestar, which is about to add another 11,000 administrative workers and 5,000 from the defunct Insabi.
In his opinion, this IMSS Bienestar program could be launched by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador before the end of his term. “For us as FSTSE, it is essential to address the challenge and we believe that it can work well with a single-command design, that is, not separate from the Ministry of Health, which is the agency with the highest hierarchy.”
In each state of the Republic, he added, this would consolidate the care that is essential for the open population, as is the ideal of the President of the Republic.
For her part, the head of Security, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, reported on the meeting on her social networks. “I was pleased to welcome Joel Alaya Almeida, president of the National Executive Committee of the Federation of Unions of Workers in Service to the State, to the SSPC, to advance actions in favor of Mexicans.”
