The PP-DB invite the Speaker of the Parliament Raya Nazaryan, as well as all political parties except “DPS-Peevski” to consultations regarding the official cabinet and the procedure for electing the Deputy Chairman of the Audit Chamber. This is clear from a post on the official page of “Continuing the Change” on Facebook.
“We consider that President Rumen Radev took advantage of the opportunities given to him by the changes in the Constitution, by not accepting the draft cabinet proposed by Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva”, the PP-DB noted at the beginning of their post and stated:
“We continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria invites the Speaker of the National Assembly and all political parties without DPS-Peevski to hold consultations tomorrow at 12:00 in order to start the procedure on:
• acceptance of the submissions on 05.08.2024 in the office of the National Assembly ZID for the Audit Chamber in order to elect a person with high public trust as the deputy chairman of the Audit Chamber;
•discussion of other possible options for the fastest completion of the constitutional procedure for the election of a cabinet”.
A little earlier, President Rumen Radev refused to sign the decree on the caretaker government, because the elected caretaker prime minister, Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva, did not replace the interior minister, Kalin Stoyanov.
Thus, the elections will not be held on October 20, and Kozhareva, for her part, announced that she is reporting to the chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov. She stated that she was under pressure so that Kalin Stoyanov would not appear as an acting interior minister in her proposed cabinet.
Meanwhile, the co-chairman of “We continue the change” Kiril Petkov and Ivaylo Mirchev from “Yes, Bulgaria” stated that Delyan Peevski broke Goritsa Kozhareva – this is how they commented on the unprecedented refusal of President Rumen Radev to sign a decree for the “Kozhareva” project cabinet.
“Peevski broke through Kozhareva! Kalin Stoyanov has become an example of the captured state,” wrote Petkov.
