Goyang City to Celebrate Park Hye-jung’s Silver Medal Win at Paris Olympics with Fan Signing Event

(Provided by Goyang City) Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 19th that it will hold a fan signing event and welcome ceremony for Park Hye-jung’s silver medal win in women’s weightlifting at the Paris Olympics at 11 a.m. on the day. 20th at Goyang City Hall Art Center.

The event was prepared to commemorate Goyang City’s Hye-jeong Park winning an Olympic medal and to inspire pride in the city’s 1.08 million citizens.

Before the reception, a 20-minute fan autograph session for Park Hye-jung will be held in the lobby of the Arts Center.

At the welcoming ceremony, there will be a welcome speech by Goyang Mayor Lee Dong-hwan, a presentation of Park Hye-jung’s training process and match celebration video, distribution of prize money and flowers, and a wish for a gold medal at the LA. The Olympics four years later.

At the same time, Goyang City had three national team athletes participating in these Olympics, including swimming Lee Yu-yeon (800m relay), male weightlifting Park Joo-hyo ( class -73kg), and female weightlifting Park Hye-jeong (class +81kg).
