On Sunday morning, a 41-year-old hiker was out on the Schöckl. The woman fell and seriously injured herself.

At around 7:40 a.m., a 41-year-old hiker from the Graz-Umgebung district was walking down from the Schöckl valley. The woman slipped on rocky, very steep ground near the lift route and seriously injured her left foot.
Mountain rescue in action
The injured woman was given first aid by the emergency doctor and the Kumberg Red Cross and was then rescued by the Graz Mountain Rescue Service using a mountain stretcher. The woman was then taken by the Red Cross to the Graz Regional Hospital, where she was admitted as an inpatient. There was no third-party negligence.
