/ world today news/ Liliana Pavlova, Tomislav Donchev and Vezhdi Rashidov will be questioned about the NDK. This is what the chief prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov told journalists today.
“Ministers will be summoned and questioned about the NDK – in any case, I think that Liliana Pavlova, Tomislav Donchev and Vezhdi Rashidov will be summoned, in view of his claims that he asked to replace Miroslav Borsos, but at the moment when returned from leave, he was no longer the principal of the NDK,” the chief prosecutor pointed out. He specified that the status of Miroslav Boršos is “a person who has received a summons to appear in order to be charged with a crime of inappropriate spending of funds.”
Until recently, the director of the National Palace of Culture, Miroslav Boršos, has been summoned to appear before the Metropolitan Investigation as a defendant on July 20 (Thursday).
Regarding whether people other than Borshosh will be investigated, Tsatsarov clarified that this depends on the judgment of the supervising prosecutor, and so far it is only him.
“We work from a DANS signal reference, everything else is added to that reference. Including the fact that the supervising prosecutor demanded almost all the concluded contracts with external contractors that Borsosh, as the director of the NDK, concluded. We are working on all possible lines. The one for which there is currently a readiness for an initial work charge is the one on the DANS signal report for the 17 million. In this report, there are names of ministers with a view to voting on the decision to increase the capital of the NDK, but not for abuses by them,” the chief prosecutor pointed out.
Regarding whether the parliamentary committee on the National Security Council can influence the investigation, Tsatsarov stated that the same question can then be asked whether the results of the committee will presuppose the investigation of the prosecutor’s office.
“The National Assembly has the right to a temporary commission. I have been invited to such a temporary commission tomorrow at 2:00 p.m., and I will appear as a sign of respect for the National Assembly. Another issue is that I can point out facts from the pre-trial proceedings, which the supervising prosecutor believes are not investigative secrets, and I will comply with the law,” Sotir Tsatsarov also pointed out.
