Why did the most massive attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Crimean bridge turn out to be “zero”? – 2024-08-18 17:17:08

/ world today news/ The most large-scale attack in recent times with the help of a swarm of drones and unmanned boats was undertaken by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the night of July 16 in Sevastopol. Despite all the efforts of the Kyiv regime, the attack turned out to be a nullity.

Military expert Yury Knutov in an interview with MK talked about the new technique of the enemy, as well as the algorithm of actions of our military, thanks to which the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was successfully repelled.

Meanwhile, after the night strike by the armed forces of Ukraine, Russia retaliated with an “educational” strike on seven enemy areas.

On the night of July 16, the enemy tried to attack Cape Chersonese, Sevastopol Bay and Balaclava. According to eyewitnesses, initially a drone appeared in the sky over the Black Sea, which was most likely carrying out combat reconnaissance.

Then came a wave of enemy drones. Active work on their destruction began around 2 hours and 40 minutes.

The second part of the attack took place early in the morning – from 4 to 6 in the morning, the enemy sent two unmanned semi-submersible boats to the coast of Sevastopol. However, the invasion attempt, although it looked spectacular, was unsuccessful.

Two Ukrainian drones were destroyed by air defense over the Black Sea at a great distance from the coastline. Five other drones were overwhelmed by electronic warfare and crashed, also missing their targets.

They managed to stop the unmanned cutters on the floating security barriers – nets that are installed to prevent enemy kamikaze cutters from breaking through to the ships of the Black Sea Fleet.

As the cutters prepared to breach the buoys, Russian military personnel destroyed them with the standard weaponry of cutters guarding the water area.

According to the military expert, director of the Museum of Air Defense Yuriy Knutov, enemy attacks using unmanned aerial vehicles have increased since the NATO summit in Vilnius. Moreover, similar intrusion attempts will be made in the future as well.

– The fact is that the armed forces of Ukraine have no achievements on the front, the enemy has nothing to be proud of, so he tried to use drones against peaceful objects located in Crimea and other parts of Russia.

If you remember, recently there was an attempt to attack the Kursk nuclear power plant with the help of an unmanned aerial vehicle, and now we are watching the attack on Crimea.

In this case, both aircraft drones and sea drones were used. Some of the enemy drones were shot down, some were neutralized with the radio electronic warfare system.

The military expert also said that the first launched reconnaissance drone could confuse the enemy’s maps:

– The first drone was launched specifically to see our reaction, how we would work. Apparently, the enemy got the impression that our air defense system was dormant and therefore launched a massive attack designed to penetrate the air defense system.

The armed forces of Ukraine used a swarm of drones for exactly these purposes. But we were ready and all the drones involved in that swarm were neutralized.

The expert also told how the Russian military detected the timely approach of enemy targets, despite the dark southern night:

– The monitoring of the air and directly on the sea surface is carried out with the help of radar equipment.

Enemy boats approaching our shores were recorded and appeared on radar screens installed on ships that carried out round-the-clock coastal surveillance. Therefore, the forces and means of the Black Sea Fleet and air defense troops in Crimea fully coped with their task.

In addition, Knutov explained exactly what our forces were doing on the enemy boats. Shortly after the attack was repulsed, an impressive video emerged:

– We worked on surface boats with small-caliber tracer ammunition. In the video, only traces of tracer shells are visible, which makes it clear where you are shooting.

Meanwhile, the missile strikes that the Russian Air Force carried out on the evening of July 15 and continued after the night attack by the Ukrainian armed forces proved to be more successful. So, as a result of a missile attack on Zaporozhye, the reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the offensive were supposedly destroyed.

And in Kryvyi Rih, the permanent deployment site, training ground and ammunition depots of the 17th Separate Tank Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine appear to have been attacked. This brigade participated in the bloodiest battles in Ukraine. Until recently, with these soldiers, the Kiev regime tried (albeit unsuccessfully) to plug the gap between Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) and Soledar.
