“We start at 1 p.m. and will finish before 5 p.m. The program is the same for both days. The accompanying program will be prepared for the audience in the entire area from 9:00 a.m. I would like to ask the audience to come to the area in the morning. Free attractions will be prepared for the little ones. And for the bigger ones, who would like to taste what it means to soar into the clouds and fly, a whole fleet of planes is ready,” explained Jiří Pěč, the manager of the 9th annual Cheb Aviation Day.

Familiarization flights for spectators will be from the morning until the beginning of the air program, and also after it ends until dark. The program for both days will also include live broadcasts of Czech Radio Karlovy Vary, where visitors can look forward to interviews with pilots and organizers.
Compared to previous years, the organizers have increased the number of arrival routes, spectators can arrive from the roundabout at Maškovo and now also from the other direction from Dřenice on the D6 highway. There will be more checkouts and arriving cars will be sorted into corridors.
“People can also use the shuttle bus service, which will be free of charge. For this year, we have not changed the prices of entrance fees or parking fees. That remains for 100 crowns per car, the same as the entrance fee for children aged seven and over, younger children have free entry, and an adult ticket on the spot costs 300 crowns,” added Pěč.
Information on arrival routes, bus transport, entrance fees and the program can be found at websites Aviation day.
According to the organizers, this year’s Aviation Day is the 9th official year. But a group of enthusiasts organized the first small model aircraft day in 1995. It surprised the attendance of more than 5,000 people. Aviation days in their current form have been held at the Cheb airport since 2007.
