Innichen – After the dramatic events of the night from Saturday to Sunday, people in the Innichen Volunteer Fire Department’s equipment shed are slowly breathing a sigh of relief.
As reportedthe firefighters were called out during the night to provide assistance to the police and because of a reported smell of gas. When they arrived, however, the emergency services had to take cover. They were shot at.
Ewald Kühbacher (50) took his father’s gun and subsequently shot his neighbor. He then barricaded himself in the apartment.
No one on the emergency services side was injured in the incident. However, things could easily have turned out differently, as the pictures show.
