“This is a video I never wanted to make,” Beckey Goodwin begins the message on her husband Luke Goodwin’s YouTube channel. “Luke sadly passed away on August 2nd. He passed away peacefully. He was at home. He had me, his mom and dad by his side. Luke is at peace now. He is no longer in pain, but I thought I should update you all.”
The widow goes on to say that her two children, Taylor, 5, and Scarlett, 3, took the news “very well.” She continued about her late husband: “He showed me how to be strong, even when you’re going through the toughest of times. … He was just amazing. A great father, son and husband.”

“It’s still pretty tough right now, but you have to keep a strong head,” she said in a YouTube video. “Luke would say the same thing,” said mother of two Beckey in the video.
