Hello everyone,
I’m still a bit disappointed about how uncreative and user-unfriendly the options offered for creating your own playlists are. 15 years ago I had a kind of program for DJ playlists where I could rate each song on the playlist I created myself with 1-5 stars…as far as I can remember. It was amazing and I could rate my hundreds of songs. It was extremely helpful. O
b when listening to it yourself at home or in the pro DJ area. I have been using Spotify for 10 years and even then it’s a nightmare; they’ve even removed the heart button. I can imagine a very simple extension to the playlist categories. You would just have to add a “Rating” category or something similar. Then you could left/right-click in the empty area and create 1 to 5 stars (each click one star). This would give you a very good overview of how good or bad you rated your songs on a very large playlist. By clicking on the rating area you could sort the songs from top to bottom by worst or best. I haven’t been able to find this feature on any streaming provider so far… I think it would be a real asset for anyone who wants to sort hundreds or even thousands of songs in a playlist… Attached is a simple JPG with a design suggestion.
What do you think about it? It would be a significant extension of the simple heart button…
